This site sets one kind of cookie, and only if you say yes to it: Google Analytics. Nothing else.

What we don’t do

No advertising pixels from Meta, LinkedIn or anyone else. No profiling, no retargeting, and no cookies that follow you across other websites. We sell nothing on to third parties.

What we do, if you consent

Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages get read and where people come from. For that, Google sets cookies in your browser. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored.

If you say no, Google’s script is not even fetched. Nothing goes to Google — not even a cookieless visit. The site works exactly the same.

What we always keep

One thing, and strictly speaking it is not a cookie: your answer to the question above. It sits in localStorage on your own device, so we do not ask again on every visit. It is sent nowhere.

Changing your mind

You can, any time, and it takes one click: ask me again. Clearing your browser data brings the question back too.

How long

Google Analytics cookies expire after two years at most. The data in Analytics itself we keep for fourteen months, the shortest period Google allows.
